Thomas Concrete Group will grow in Sweden.

2016-04-06

Thomas Betong AB takes yet another positive step forward. Thomas Concrete Group will grow in Sweden.

Thomas Betong AB will acquire seven ready-mix concrete plants, three in the region of Göteborg (Mölndal, Ale and Vikan) and four in the region of Södermanland (Eskilstuna, Strängnäs, Vagnhärad and Nyköping), south west of Stockholm. The seller is Betongindustri AB, a subsidiary of Heidelberg Cement. These strategic acquisitions will allow Thomas Concrete Group to be an even better partner to its customers in Sweden. Thomas Betong AB will at the same time sell five plants in region south (Malmö, Helsingborg, Sölvesborg, Karlskrona and Tingsryd) to Betongindustri AB.

Congratulations to Philip Frick and Sara Almstedt!

Monolithic Sculpture in Concrete Looks like Steel

2015-12-14

The 11-meter high sculpture called Stealth, with its sharp edges, shiny surfaces and twisted forms gleams as if it is made of steel. But looks deceive, because it’s composed of black concrete. The sculpture stands in downtown Atlanta in the United States, and is made from a special concrete developed by the Swedish family owned company, Thomas Concrete Group.
