That’s a wrap!

Time flies when you’re having fun. I had four amazing months in Atlanta and it was bittersweet when my stay finally came to an end. I met so many great colleagues at Thomas Concrete, I learned a lot (!!), and I visited many beautiful places. But, I was also excited to go home to my Swedish colleagues and, of course, happy to see my family. Hopefully, I’ll be back with the US team again soon.

After my time in Atlanta, I spent a couple of weeks with Thomas Concrete Group’s and Thomas Betong’s finance departments. It was very interesting to familiarize myself with the Swedish organization after working with the US processes for so long. There are great differences in how we do business across countries, and it is incredibly instructive to gain experiences from multiple countries.

I have now completed my yearlong trainee program at TCG and it is time for me to start my new position as a Business Development Analyst! In my new role I will be involved in several interesting development projects, for example implementing our new global finance system. I am super excited about the opportunities that lie ahead!

A huge THANK YOU to all the people who have taken time out of their day to teach me, show me around, and put up with all my questions. It really has been a great experience and the perfect way to start my career. With all my experiences from my year as a trainee I feel equipped to take on future challenges with a wider understanding of our business.
