Sustainability Report and Product Development

Time passes quickly when you have fun! Christmas is almost here and with that, I have completed my third block of the trainee program. Since my last post, I have been working in two departments in parallel. One department was sustainability where I together with Karin, Sustainability Manager at Thomas Concrete Group, and Louisa, Marketing Communications Coordinator, have been working with the 2021 Sustainability Report. My task has been to produce all the texts and coordinate all the case stories that will be included in the report. It's been incredibly exciting work, partly because I've learned a lot about what sustainability work we do and partly because I've been able to connect with so many people across the organization. Working at a company that is committed and driven in sustainability issues is very important to me and I really feel that I have found that at Thomas Concrete Group.

The other department I've been working in alongside writing the sustainability report is product development. There I have been working on a project together with Janna who works as a product developer in precast. Our project was to conduct a competitive analysis regarding EPDs on precast products. It has been a super exciting project!

I have also during this time spent a week at our precast factory in Lane-Ryr, but more on that in the next post.
