Hi and welcome to my blog. My name is Ida and I’m the new trainee for Thomas Concrete Group. These first couple of weeks have been very intense but so fun. I have been participating in the production. I have spent my time at the plants, with the truckdrivers, with the pump operators and all the other departments in production. I have learned a lot about concrete and the complexity behind it. That is why this job is so challenging and fun! Hi and welcome to my blog. So, who am I? I’m a happy and positive person that is eager to learn new things. I have a master’s degree in management of growth Enterprises (MATIX) from school of business, economics and law at the university of Gothenburg.
To be a part of Team Thomas is an honor. Already from the first interview I’ve got a good welcoming and a great passion from everyone involved within the trainee program. People takes time from their day to explain things and show me their everyday tasks. I’m very grateful for the receiving I’ve got and wants to say a special thanks to these people! Another fun thing with the trainee program is to see what our past trainees are doing today in the company. It shows the opportunities with the program.
My trainee program is divided into five stages that have been adjusted after my education within business. The first stage of the program was in production within the business concrete. The second stage is in the marketing department. I will be a part of both internal and external projects. I will also be a part of the project that creates our sustainability report, a big interest of me personally!
The third stage will be in production within the business Precast. Next stage of the program will be in the finance department and will conclude with one last stage spent abroad in one of the other countries where Thomas Concrete Group has its operations.
As you can hear I have a very exciting year ahead of me and I hope that you will be taking a part of it here at the blog!
