The local branches of Thomas Concrete Group conduct operations within our domestic markets across Sweden, Germany, Poland, Norway, and the United States. The company was founded in 1955 in Karlstad. We operate ready-mixed concrete plants in the western, central, and eastern parts of Sweden. In addition, we have four precast plants in Lane-Ryr, Heby, and Sollebrunn. We also deliver precast products to Norway.
Our trading and distribution company within Thomas Concrete Group has the main business objective of securing and developing the Group’s long-term supply of raw materials. At the Landskrona, Uddevalla, and Oxelösund terminals, we are currently storing and distributing slag.
C-lab was founded in 1992 and became one of SWEDAC’s accredited testing laboratories in 1994. Its activities consist of three areas of work: material and laboratory testing, technical consultation and damage investigations, and Research & Development.
We further expanded our operations in Sweden in September 2021 by acquiring Stockholms Bulkhamn AB in Stora Vika, south of Stockholm. The company, one of the few bulk ports south of Stockholm, was taken over by Thomas Cement AB.
Thomas Beton GmbH was founded in 1965 in Jarplundfeld, northern Germany. We currently operate ready-mixed concrete plants in Schleswig-Holstein, Hamburg, Lower Saxony, and Bremen.
With two efficient sand and gravel plants in Vierhusen and Sternberg, and long-term secured raw material deposits and areas, we are your partner for aggregates in Schleswig-Holstein and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.
Thomas Concrete Group expanded into the Polish market in the late 1990s. Today, Thomas Beton is one of the leading suppliers of high-quality ready-mixed concrete in northern and central Poland.
Since October 1, 2024, Scanbet has been fully part of the Thomas Concrete Group. It is an experienced company with a team of specialized engineers that has been making precast concrete elements for more than 27 years.
We established our business in the United States in 1985. Today, Thomas Concrete Inc. is one of the leading suppliers of ready-mixed concrete in Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina.
Norway is an important market, and we have been delivering precast products from our plants in Sweden since the 1990s.
