In 2020, Thomas Beton GmbH was one of the first companies to start CSC certify (Concrete Sustainability Council) its individual plants. As a result, the new Geosciences building achieved a higher sustainability level in the sustainable building rating system BNB (Bewertungssystem nachhaltiges Bauen), even though it was not required. Thomas Beton GmbH has also successfully completed the re-audit of the CSC certification with its increased standards.
