Thomas Concrete Group streamlines collaboration in the construction sector for building a sustainable society

Thomas Concrete Group is taking further steps in the digital transformation of the construction industry, by introducing additional services within their cloud-based platform, Thomas Digital Collaboration Platform. The platform enables more efficient communication and collaboration to optimize resource utilization, reduce environmental impact, and streamline the construction process.

Through the application Min Betong® customers of Thomas Betong, a part of Thomas Concrete Group, have previously had the opportunity to track concrete deliveries, access real-time data on concrete’s specific strength development and receive forecasts for future strength development based on historical measurement and weather data – just to name a few features.

With the Thomas Digital Collaboration Platform, direct communication with collaborative partners’ systems is now also offered based on the industry’s electronic business standard BEAst 4.0 and Peppol. This means that processes can be interconnected – system to system – and automated for a more efficient logistics flow, with improved traceability and detailed environmental information for a reduced carbon footprint.

The Thomas Digital Collaboration Platform

“The collaboration within the industry is a crucial success factor, and through this initiative, we want to drive digitization forward. The purpose of the platform is to enable the optimization of resources and work processes, as well as to act as a support for the industry’s increased demands in reporting carbon footprint reporting”, says Anna Eliason, Business Development Manager at Thomas Concrete Group.

Thomas Digital Collaboration Platform is built on modern cloud services to enable an optimized flow of information and delivery, both externally and internally. As sustainability requirements for the industry increases, the company aims to continue driving development towards a more sustainable construction by constantly developing new sustainable products and services.

“Increased digitization with the help of IoT and transparency in measurable data is the key to more efficient workflows, reporting and reduced environmental impact for sustainable community development. Our journey of digitalization has taken us far, and we strive to continue leading the way and integrating our collaborative partners even closer”, concludes Lennart Björnström, COO, Thomas Concrete Group.Optimize project schedule according to data.
