PROJECT FACTS

Type:Public
Location:Thomas Beton, Germany
Contractor:Leonhard-Weiss GmbH & Co.
Period:2018–2020

A centre for science and collaboration at the water’s edge. Here, the interplay between architecture, construction technology, and materials is key to meeting global challenges. Open spaces that invite cross-border encounters make it easier for researchers to find answers to the crucial questions of our time. The result is more than just a building. It is a driving force for understanding the ocean, from the depths to the atmosphere.

Between 2018 and 2020, Thomas Beton GmbH supplied 21,500 cubic meters of concrete to the project. The delivery was carried out in close cooperation with the customer, Leonhard Weiss GmbH & Co., ensuring reliable production, logistics, and technical support throughout the construction phase. The project required deep expertise in concrete solutions suitable for a complex research environment with high demands on durability, precision, and long-term performance.
