The construction of a new gas and steam power plant in Grudziadz, within the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship of Poland, marks a significant step towards sustainable energy production.
Utilizing THOMAGREEN, a low-carbon concrete, the project is spearheaded by MYTILINEOS S.A., a prominent player in the energy sector. The substantial volume of 2,963.50 cubic meters of THOMAGREEN used in this project is projected to result in a remarkable 58% reduction in CO2 emissions compared to the traditional Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC), specifically CEM I 42.5. This initiative not only demonstrates a commitment to reducing the environmental impact of energy production but also sets a precedent for future projects in the industry to follow suit in embracing low-carbon alternatives.
