Construction of the Koszalin and Sianów bypass on the S6 route

Thomas Beton Sp. z o. o. has delivered concrete to the Koszalin and Sianów bypass, which is part of the S6 express road project from Szczecin to Koszalin, including the Koszalin and Sianów bypasses along the S6/S11. The construction of the S6 express road in north-west Poland will result in quicker journey times for long-distance travel and improved road safety. Additionally, nearby residents will benefit from the project, as it aims to lower noise levels, reduce local traffic congestion and cut emissions.

The construction of the Koszalin and Sianów bypass and the section of of the S11 from the Bielice junction to the Koszalin junction started in December 2021. In total, Thomas Beton Sp. Z o. o. has delivered approximately 60,000 m³ of concrete classes C30/37 and C50/60 and concrete delivery was completed in June 2024. Two lanes of the viaduct were opened in July 2024. The ES-119 viaduct runs over railway tracks, with a length of 790 meters and a highest point of 26 meters. Casting took place almost every day, with a ranging volume from a few qubic meters to 1,300 cubic meters. The viaducts was built using two construction teqchniqes: balanced cantilivering and incremental launching method.
