The Klassrummet housing project in Mölndal, Sweden, stands as a testament to the innovative strides being made in the realm of sustainable construction. Thomas Betong’s Thomagrön level 3 products were utilized extensively throughout the project, resulting in the use of 9,245 m² of slabs, 4,940 m² of walls, 1,140 m² of balconies, and 245 m² of solid walls. While the solid walls did not feature low-carbon concrete, highlighting an opportunity for enhancement, the project still achieved a notable reduction in carbon footprint.
The collaboration with Skanska led to a 30% decrease in CO2 emissions, underscoring a dedicated effort towards sustainable building methods and reinforcing the importance of low-carbon concrete in modern construction. This project not only delivered a significant volume of sustainable materials but also set a benchmark for future developments in the industry.
