Thomas Concrete Group appoints new Safety Manager

Thomas Concrete Group's subsidiary in the USA has appointed Cornelius Morgan as the new manager responsible for coordinating the group's safety work. He started his new role at the beginning of May.

– We are pleased to welcome Cornelius to the group. Building a safe and secure work environment has long been our highest priority area. In his role, Cornelius will have a key position to continue coordinating, developing and driving our safety work, with responsibility for building our safety culture and avoiding accidents, says Hans Karlander, President and CEO of Thomas Concrete Group.

He most recently came from the role of Global Senior Director of Operations Safety at the traffic safety company AWP Safety. Cornelius also has a background as a veteran of the United States Marine Corps.

Cornelius’ commitment to work environment issues has a personal background, as his father died in a work-related accident several years ago – something that inspiring him to choose a career in the environment, health and safety sector.

– I am driven by creating safe work environments, where all employees come home safe every day, while at the same time wanting to contribute to a sustainable society and a culture characterized by quality, safety and trusting relationships. This will also be my focus in my new role within Thomas Concrete Group, he says.
