Say hello to Yvonne!
When did you start working at Thomas Beton GmbH?
I joined Thomas Beton on January 1, 1994.
What was your first role, and what is your role today?
I started as a team member in the finance department. Today, I’m the Chief Financial Officer, responsible for overseeing the company’s finances.
“One thing has remained constant: we’re still a family-owned company, and that means a lot to me.”

What does a typical workday look like for you?
My work involves managing the company’s finances on both a strategic and operational level – from reporting and analysis to forecasting.
Tell us a little about yourself.
I’m 54 years old, have been married for over 30 years, and live in a small town in the heart of Schleswig-Holstein. I love traveling in our motorhome, hiking, crocheting, and playing board games.
Share a memorable moment from your time at the company.
I especially remember the day we unveiled the concrete trucks with our new brand identity. It was a fantastic location, with beautiful vehicles and a view over the Kiel Fjord – I still smile when I think about it.
How would you describe the company when you first started? What’s the biggest change since then?
A lot has changed over the years – regional expansions, a new brand identity, more factories, and updated structures and systems. But one thing has remained constant: we’re still a family-owned company, and that means a lot to me.
What has made you enjoy your work and stay for so long?
It’s the team, the people, and the variety in my work that have made the job both enjoyable and meaningful.
