On July 1, Ryan Chandley will assume the role as CEO for the U.S. subsidiary of the Swedish-owned Thomas Concrete Group. “We continue to pursue strong growth in the U.S. market, where Ryan has been a driving force during his seven years in the company,” says Hans Karlander, CEO and President of Thomas Concrete Group AB.

Thomas Concrete Group is celebrating 70 years as a leading player in the concrete industry. Over the past decade, the company has made significant efforts in reducing the environmental impact of the construction sector by developing and using alternative binders to replace cement in concrete. Just in time for the anniversary, the company proudly notes that the average share of alternative binders within the group, is now 30 percent – a figure that continues to increase every year.

Thomas Betong announces the acquisition of a strategically important gravel pit in Fimmersta, Skaraborg. The pit has a long-term permit and is well located near the concrete factories in Skövde and Mariestad. The pit will be a central part of the raw material supply for the production of low-carbon concrete.
