Thomas Concrete Group advances research on slag from Boliden

In collaboration with Boliden, the concrete company Thomas Concrete Group is currently researching a new binder where slag — or a so-called SCM product — from Boliden's smelters can be used as a cement substitute in concrete. This approach could result in both reduced climate impact and decreased energy usage, compared to many other techniques employed to lower the environmental footprint of the concrete.
