“My year as a trainee has been really great! It has given me a unique opportunity to see many different parts of the operation and try out so many new things,” says Clara, who has now taken on her new role in Technical Sales at Thomas Betong.
Some of the highlights of the year for her included participating in a research project at C-lab, where she learned more about alternative binders, as well as seeing production up close, particularly the casting of balconies and half-shell precast walls in Lane-Ryr and Heby. During her time at Thomas Concrete in the U.S., Clara also gained many valuable experiences and fresh perspectives on both production and working methods.
Anton describes his trainee year as both fun and stimulating.
“The best part has been all the great colleagues I have met over the year. I have truly felt warmly welcomed everywhere and have experienced a fantastic level of support and cooperation within Team Thomas. It has also been exciting and educational to work across the entire value chain, from customer inquiry to delivery,” says Anton.
After several rotations within the Swedish companies and a stint in Germany at Thomas Beton, Anton has begun his role as Business Analyst at Thomas Concrete Group.
“Now I work with Business Intelligence and help develop insights that will make us even better at what we already are, The Concrete Specialists,” he says.
Each charting their own path, Clara and Anton are now looking forward to the next chapter within Team Thomas. This journey has only just begun!
