Thomas Concrete Inc. supplies concrete for major construction project in South Carolina U.S.

Thomas Concrete Inc. in the United States has supplied 21,350 cubic yards of low-carbon concrete for the construction of a large distribution center in Florence, South Carolina. The building covers more than 35,800 square meters and the project was carried out under a demanding schedule with multiple contractors involved.

Thomas Concrete Group expands in the U.S. – acquires assets of a well-known concrete company

Thomas Concrete Group’s U.S. subsidiary has acquired the assets of two of Ford´s Redi-Mix concrete plants in South Carolina, U.S. The assets will be integrated into Thomas Concrete’s existing operations in Charleston and will strengthen the Group’s investments in the U.S. market. The acquisition was completed on January 30th.

Growing interest among construction companies in selecting the correct exposure class for concrete

Many construction contractors opt for exposure classes that are higher than necessary in their projects. This results in unnecessary climate impact and increased costs. That is the view of Anders Lindvall, Technical Specialist at C-lab, Thomas Concrete Group’s research and development division, who is receiving a growing number of inquiries from clients and structural designers about which exposure class to choose.
