3D-printed concrete opens new possibilities for construction

Printing load-bearing walls and entire concrete structures directly on a construction site is opening new possibilities for the construction industry. Thomas Beton, the German subsidiary of Thomas Concrete Group, is working with technology company INSTATIQ to develop concrete specifically adapted to INSTATIQ’s established 3D printing technology. The collaboration has already resulted in a successful demonstration with a 3D-printed bicycle shelter.
