Two recent graduates in civil engineering from Chalmers University of Technology, Anna Stigenberg and Johan Lindqvist, have been awarded a scholarship of 50,000 SEK for their Master thesis on sustainable concrete construction. The scholarship is presented by the Family Thomas Foundation in recognition of their contributions to the field.

Thomas Concrete Group is now pioneering the industry by introducing series-produced, fully electric wheel loaders in two of its subsidiaries in Sweden. The two new machines will be utilized at Thomas Betong's plant in Västerås and Thomas Cement's port, Stockholm Bulkhamn in Stora Vika. These heavy wheel loaders are expected to reduce both operational costs and the group's carbon footprint.

Thomas Beton in Poland, a part of the Swedish-owned Thomas Concrete Group, has delivered 55,000 cubic meters of concrete since 2021 to reinforce the riverbank in the city of Elbląg, Poland. The project will be completed at the end of this year, involving over 50,000 cubic meters of hydrotechnical concrete to ensure the city's long-term protection from floods.
