Thomas Concrete delivers to one of Atlanta’s tallest buildings

In Atlanta, USA, a more than 220-meter-high office and residential complex is currently under construction, which will become one of the tallest buildings in Atlanta. Thomas Concrete Group is delivering concrete to the building, which must not only withstand strong winds but also seismic activity.

Volcanic ash in concrete, inspired by ancient Rome

Using volcanic ash in concrete is not a new concept. In fact, the ancient Romans used volcanic ash and lime as binding materials in their constructions. The Pantheon and the Colosseum, said to be among the best-preserved buildings from ancient Rome, are two examples. With an eye toward carbon-neutral concrete, Thomas Concrete Group is striving to emulate this historical construction method.
