Who are you?
My name is Cristy Lane. I am 54 years old and live in Effingham, South Carolina. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my granddaughters, going on nature walks, rehabbing deer and squirrels, and anything that involves animals. I also enjoy puzzles and playing games on my tablet.

Tell us about your work-role
I am the Plant Manager for the Florence plants. I am responsible for production and ensure that all customer orders are delivered on time. My role focuses on quality, coordination, and making sure everything runs smoothly at the plant.
What does a typical workday look like for you?
A typical day includes batching concrete to ensure consistent quality, advising CDPs on the specific requirements of each job, and confirming that all necessary materials are available for upcoming orders. Every part of the day is about preparation, communication, and quality control.

I have been with Thomas Concrete for five years.
What is the best thing about being a part of Team Thomas and working at Thomas Concrete?
During my time here, I have treated every load as if it were my own concrete delivery and every CDP as if they were part of my family. I enjoy joking with them and creating an environment where the workday is both productive and enjoyable. Thomas Concrete is very supportive and helpful in all aspects of the plant environment, and I truly hope to be a part of Team Thomas for many years to come.
