Who are you?
My name is Shalisa Davis, but I go by Smooth. I live in Garner, North Carolina, which is about 30 minutes from Raleigh.
When I’m not working; I enjoy reading, listening to music, playing basketball and being creative. I have my own clothing brand, Prvde Wext. I love to challenge myself and learn new things along my journey in life.

Tell us about your work-role
As a concrete delivery professional, I am responsible for the safe, timely, and efficient transport of concrete to job sites. I provide our customers with reliable service and quality customer service.
What does a typical workday look like for you?
I pre-trip my truck, which includes doing a walk around. I check my equipment and tools are in proper condition (headlight, helmet, etc) before starting the day. Communication is key in this line of work! The team communicates throughout the day to ensure effectiveness and safety. Workdays can be long and fast paced, but I love what I do!
